This Recall does NOT apply to any Joie Stages car seats produced after 2013!
The Joie Stages has had a recall announcement from Toys R Us.
You can find it here: http://www.toysrus.co.uk/info/general/trubw-productrecalls.jsf
JOIE STAGES
Colour: Midnight
It’s been recalled in Toys R Us:
Products Affected:
Product SKN 717665
Car seats with the date code: 130524 are not affected.
The Date code sticker is located on the back of your seat.
Contact your local retailer (phone nr is on Toys R Us website under “find retailer”) and quote your date code to see if the car seat you own is of the ones recalled.
Now I want to highlight that there’s no need to panic!
Just check your date, if it’s not got 130524 on it you need to return it and they will give you the choice of exchanging it for a new seat, or your money back.
This does not make Joie Stages a “bad” seat!! There was discovered a fault with the harness tensioning lock screw, that may make it come loose. This is the reason for the recall.
I want to therefore also mention that the car seats “Chicco Synthesis” and the “Chicco Auto-Fix” have been found to maybe have a faulty buckle, so if you are an owner of one of these you should go to:
www.chicco.com OR www.qualitycontrol.sabelt.com
This will assist any owner to check if their model is involved and to get instructions on safe use of the product.
Note: Only models with this specific buckle (in the picture) are involved.
